my presentation is coming soon.. and im super duper nervous.. >< its the 1st time for Alisha and I to present in front of hundred pairs of eyes.. Fotunately, it went well and both of us did not make any mistake during presentation and the Q&A session was a smooth one.. *relieved* =D anyway.. here are some photos after our presentation.. faces of joy and freedom!!! =x

both of us are really relieved and delighted that everything is over.. the thing left now is my documentation of the system.. once I'm done with the documentation and the pass over of the system to my supervisor.. I guess it is the end of my internship. and i am going to be back in Singapore in.. 1 weeks time!! omg its so so fast~ going to do more last minute shopping.. last minute sight seeing and enjoying the whole of last week in japan~

its time to slog!! haha.. having lesser fun now.. and working on my project more often.. hence, nothing much in the fun section in this post~ didn't take much photos recently.. >< anyway.. another 2 more weeks and I'll be back in SG again.. thats really fast~ =\ almost 5 months of my internship had passed..

realy didn't do much these few weeks but work and slog in the lab.. but there was one day... earlier in the morning~ around 6am.. when..

me and Iwamoto tried to compare who blew the longest smoke~ =x

it was really cold in the morning.. the dews on the grass were ice.. so its like.. when we walk on the grass.. it sounded like we were stepping on broken glass as it made that *bur-ark* sound on every step.. =D there were smoke coming out of the ponds as well.. seemed like we were in heaven.. didn't take that picture thou.. was too dark.. ><><

THE WORK

working on the system now.. almost completing 80% of it.. the user interface looks alright and there will be a final presentation on the 22nd of Feb.. and not only my supervisor will attend.. grade 3 and 4 students plus some other teachers will be attending my presentation.. making that over 100 pair of eyes starring at me during my presentation.. the feeling of that is making me nervous as that day comes..

looks like I'll start to prepare my presentation slides this weekend or beginning of next week and practice the whole of next week.. in order to have a smooth and perfect presentation on the 22nd.. *nervous* ><

its kind of fast when you think of it as almost 4months have passed.. another 1 more month and its the end of my internship and I am going to graduate soon! and after that.. national service.. =\ and when i mention about national service in Japan.. everyone was shocked and all the Japanese were asking why why why? =\ haha..

anyway.. jogged in the winter cold air yesterday.. I felt tired.. but i didn't perspire at all.. =\ 1st time in my life.. I jogged without perspiring at all..

and oh yar.. I TRIED BASASHI!! for those wondering what it is.. its.. RAW horse meat (horse sashimi).. and it was really really delicious!! totally different from any fish sashimi.. yum yum!! if any one of you come over to Kumamoto, try it k! Kumamoto has the best BASASHI in Japan!! =D

No much to talk about work but..

just submitted my TP OSIP report.. concentrating to work on the Recipe Suggestion System now.. aiming for the goal of completing it before the end of my internship.. having some difficulties working on the system though.. like handling Japanese Characters with coding and understanding them..

Applying for Universities on the 1st of Feb too.. to everyone that is aiming for a U, applications of NTU and NUS is on 1st Feb - 21st Feb! apply asap~ last year poly students can apply too! SMU is already open and closing on 1st April.. (i think).. =D good luck for everyone's application!

ok.. its time to work and work more.. cos of the oncoming deadline for my project~ another 1 month plus and i'll be back to Singapore.. anyway.. before talking about work.. lets talk about an outing together with the foreign students.. an outing to the MOVIES~ (however i think the outing was around the end of last month =x)

THE WORK

Done with my report! Making last minute checks with the language and extra stuffs to add.. going to work on my 40% completed project.. Unfortunately, the final presentation date might be brought forward to 15 of Feb.. which is like 3 weeks later, therefore, the might not be enough time to complete.. but I'll try my best to finish up everything in 3 weeks! slog and slog and slog more~ ><

Also, I'm helping Matsumoto Sensei to write up a manuscript of the system that I am creating. Like the description, details and features of the whole system. Something like a documentation? or not really exactly like a documentation.. =\ anyway.. I'll be sending my report to my Liaison office ASAP~

after the visit to the glass factory.. we went to the airport to prepare our flight back to Kumamoto.. and at the Okinawa Airport.. we ate something that Singapore doesn't have anymore.. something that I've missed a long time ago~

The okinawa school trip was really enjoyable.. everyone had fun.. and the best part was that the school subsidised our trip by more than 50%! thats so great! we only had to pay for our meals and entrance fees... =D

NEW YEAR'S EVE

on new year's eve, we heard there is a countdown party at Kumamoto Castle, therefore, me and alisha took some of our time.. and went down to Kumamoto City~ here are some pictures of new year's eve! =D

the countdown party was really fun.. but i guess the party is not as grand as the one in Singapore. In Singapore there is fireworkds, and is filled with more people.. but in Kumamoto, there is no fireworks at all.. just a countdown =\ would have been nice with fireworkds ><

THE WORK

Currently still working on the Recipe Suggestion System in the college.. having almost 50% of the system completed, I feel quite safe that I can complete all basic features by the end of Feb! Also, I currently writing my report for Temasek Polytechnic.. Guess it is almost 80% completed. Once I am done, I'll touch it up and submit by the end of this month. Currently haaving no problems with anything.. but I guess problems will arise when I get to work on the Recipe Suggestion System more as I would be working on how to choose recipe using Market Price.

Therefore, I woud have to find out how to retrieve Market Prices from a source. As this is my first time doing this, I guess this would be a challange that I will face..
